About Us
The Friends of Smyrna Library (FOSL) is an independent, non-profit volunteer organization that supports the Smyrna Public Library through fundraising events and volunteer activities. FOSL is a member of the Friends of Libraries USA and Friends of Georgia Libraries and is one of the most active Friends chapters in Georgia.

Yes. Friends of Smyrna Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Donations are tax deductible.

Yes. We welcome donations of used hardcover and paperback books in good condition. Donated books meeting a specific need will be added to the library's collection.
Other books will be sold at one of our book sales. Each year we raise thousands of dollars from the sale of donated used books. Thank you for your donation!

Used magazines are sold for 10 cents each in the Friends of Smyrna Library Book Store near the circulation desk. Because of the nominal price, this fundraising program is both popular and a great way for Smyrnans to recycle their magazines.

FOSL welcomes the non-cash donation of products and services needed to support library programs and defray costs. Please see our current list of desired items if you wish to make a non-cash donation.
